In Brief: CESR releases questionnaire on application of CRAs

The Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) is gathering information on day-to-day application of the Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) codes in practice.

Recent advice from the CESR to the European Commission proposed that CRAs remain unregulated at the EU level at present, though Moody’s, Fitch Ratings, Standard & Poor’s and Dominion Bond Service are adhering to a voluntary code.

The CESR will accept responses until August 15. Click here to see the questionnaire on CESR’s website.
