CESR publishes responses to transaction reporting CP

The Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) has published the responses to its consultation paper on Level 3 guidance on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid) transaction reporting.
The responses on the whole are positive and in favour of CESR’s changes to three aspects: reporting by branches, what constitutes execution of a transaction and reporting channels. Timing is a concern however as firms need to get moving with building transaction reporting systems, it is
