Credit ratings for Dignity

Standard & Poor’s has assigned preliminary credit ratings to the £210 million of asset-backed securities planned for issue by Dignity Finance, a special-purpose entity of Dignity, the UK’s second-largest provider of funeral services and leading UK crematoria operator.

The fixed- and floating-rate paper is secured against a portfolio of 502 funeral homes and 21 crematoria owned by Dignity and its eight subsidiaries.

The issue will contain £110m of class A1 floating-rate and A2 fixed-rate paper with
