EC chief warns banks against 'kneejerk' response to turmoil

In a call for co-operation among London's financial firms, David Wright, deputy director-general of internal market and services on the EU's European Commission, urged the firms "not to take kneejerk responses or put in place de minimis solutions to the current financial turmoil".
