3L3 outlines its 2007 work programme

LONDON – The three level three committees (3L3) – the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS), the Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS) and the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) – have identified a number of priority issues to be worked on in 2007 in the publication of their annual work programme.

The three committees have agreed to focus their joint work on those areas where there is a high risk of disruptive regulatory arbitrage, where cross-sector cooperation can deliver obvious gains in the effective conduct of supervisory activities, and where co-operation among the three could bring about a real efficiency gain.
