• The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) announced in mid-October that it will delay the release of the revised Basel Accord until June while the body consults on various issues. However, the implementation deadline of January 2007 still stands.
• Since the beginning of the year, the BCBS has published papers on Pillar II, the treatment of expected and unexpected loss in credit risk and securitisation, and Principles for the home-host recognition of AMA operational risk
