Hearing date set for alleged Canadian misselling

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has set a date for a hearing of merits and extended the suspension of 21 individuals from trading securities over the alleged unregistered sale of a guaranteed return investment certificate. The Commission originally filed a statement in November 2007 that implicated 14 individuals in the sale of the structured product by two companies - Borealis and Synergy - with three further companies also implicated. In May, seven individuals were added to the action
