UK regulator ponders retail hedge funds



The UK's Financial Services Authority (FSA) has launched two discussion papers to consider the risk and regulatory issues surrounding the hedge fund industry and the possibility of extending hedge fund investments directly to retail investors. Structured product providers have welcomed the FSA's move, as it comes at a time of growth for the fund-linked market.
