Duke stars fall from grace

Indictments were last month issued against three former Duke Energy Trading andMarketing executives, charging them with participating in schemes to defraudNorth Carolina-based Duke Energy. All three pleaded not guilty to US MagistrateJudge Nancy Johnson, who freed each of them on $100,000 bail.

Timothy Kramer and Todd Reid, both former Duke Energy vice-presidents, as wellas Brian Lavielle, a former Duke Energy natural gas trader, were charged in theindictment, which includes racketeering
