Patriot Act task force receptive to industry’s AML feedback

WASHINGTON, DC

-- The US Treasury Department has expressed willingness to continue consulting with the financial services industry in order to more effectively implement anti-money laundering (AML) provisions of the USA Patriot Act.

In a May 14 speech in Washington, DC, Michael Dawson -- assistant secretary for critical infrastructure protection and compliance policy to the Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group, WAshington, DC -- provided an update of the agency’s collaborative efforts with regulators
