FinCEN publishes guidance on ‘suspicious activities’ post-report

-- The Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the US anti-money laundering (AML) department, issued a report in November that analysed suspicious activity report (SAR) activity from financial institutions to date. Several days later, the agency published a guidance package designed to help financial institutions fill in the SAR forms and improve the quality of information submitted.
