FSA launches phone line for whistleblowers

LONDON -- UK financial regulators in early May launched a dedicated whistleblowing telephone line and email address that can be used by people working in the financial services industry to tip off regulators about possible wrongdoing and financial crime at their firms.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK’s principal financial watchdog, said the service should be used by staff who have been unable to raise or resolve their concerns internally within their firms.
