GFT product aimed at rogue traders

ST GEORGEN, GERMANY -- German software provider GFT Technologies said in March that it has developed GFT Clarity, a product aimed specifically at reducing operational risk in the middle office and controlling functions of investment banks.

GFT officials said they believe the recent near $700 million currency trading fraud suffered by Allied Irish Banks is not an isolated event and that "the lack of visibility and understanding of operational risk is rife throughout the financial industry".
