FSA urges greater vigilance over money laundering

LONDON -- The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK's principal financial regulator, said in late July that some firms in the financial services industry need to do more to prevent and detect money laundering.

The agency also identified areas potentially at high risk of money laundering where the FSA will be focusing its attention.

FSA managing director Carol Sergeant said in comments on an FSA report on money laundering that the agency's aim is to work with the industry to help those firms
