Open Link's Abacus 'Not Involved' In Natwest Options Trading Scandal

OPEN Link Financial, the New York-based developer of the Abacus derivatives trading system, has issued a statement in response to the recent trading scandal at NatWest Market's interest rate options desk (RMO, March 10).

Coleman Fung, president of Open Link, says NatWest has confirmed that the bank "did not use the [Abacus] system for the options trading area involved in the current unfortunate situation".
