India/Pakistan war threat underlines planning need

LONDON -- The threat of war between India and Pakistan is a reminder that disaster planning for financial firms does not begin and end with the September 11 attacks on New York’s financial district, a senior official with the UK’s principal financial market watchdog said in May.

A conflict between the two nations over Kashmir, with its possible nuclear dimension, could do untold damage to banking in the region in terms of financing, outsourcing and trade, UK Financial Services Authority (FSA)
