CFTC names temporary chief

Michael Dunn, one of the commissioners of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, has been elected as interim chairman.

Dunn will hold office until Gary Gensler is confirmed by the US Senate. Gensler was nominated for the post last month by US president Barack Obama, who took office today - no date for his confirmation hearing has yet been set.
