Ferc says clearing house cooperation would boost energy sector

Choo, who is director financial market assessment at Ferc’s Office of Market Oversight and Investigation (OMOI), said the four platforms currently offering over-the-counter energy clearing have made good progress but none has reached the “critical mass”, which would help resolve the industry’s continuing credit problems. Choo was speaking at Energy & Power Risk Management magazine’s EnergyCredit2003 conference in New York.
