Australia makes Basel II securitisation changes

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), the financial industry’s supervisor, has published its proposals for Basel II-compliant securitisation rules.

APRA has released the final draft of its securitisation proposals, along with a response paper to comments on earlier drafts.

APRA has invited comments on both the final draft and the response paper, which can be submitted up until August 10.
