Iosco to tackle trading abuses

The International Organization of Securities Commissions (Iosco) is to crack down on trading abuses and will co-ordinate global regulatory measures on short selling, derivatives trading and activity by unregulated institutions.

"Iosco is central to developing co-ordinated regulatory solutions to deal with the current financial crisis," said Christopher Cox, technical committee chairman of Iosco during a teleconference meeting on November 24. "To be effective, the regulation of trading abuses
