Commerzbank hires new cyber chief for Americas

Thomas Kartanowicz will oversee cyber risk and information security

Commerzbank has a new chief information security officer for the Americas.

Thomas Kartanowicz, the former head of information security at Natixis North America, will take up his new role on October 8.

A spokesperson for Commerzbank confirmed the appointment.

Kartanowicz started his career as a systems administrator at New York University before moving to Principia Partners, a software company. He joined Natixis North America in 2007 and became head of information security in 2012, within the
