HKEx strengthens RMB team ahead of expected product launches

Julien Martin, managing director and head of RMB internationalisation at BNP Paribas, will join Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) at the end of August.

It is understood that Martin's responsibilities will include expanding HKEx's suite of RMB derivatives products.

HKEx has had great success with the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect but has been slow to launch a China A50 futures contract in Hong Kong, something that SGX did last year and captured large volumes from offshore investors
