People: FCA bolsters oversight with new hires

IIF's Barbara Frohn to lead risk and compliance oversight


The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is bulking up its compliance and enforcement functions. Barbara Frohn has been named director of risk and compliance oversight, while Mark Steward is the new director of enforcement and market oversight.

They will take up their positions in London in the early autumn.

Frohn joins the FCA from Banco Santander, where she is a managing director. She is currently on secondment to the Institute of International Finance in Washington, DC, where she has been
