Citi hires global sales head for ags and softs

Bank remains committed to agricultural commodities business

Citi has hired Eric Sananes as its new London-based global head of agriculture and soft commodities sales.

Sananes began his new job on September 1 and reports to José Cogolludo, the bank's London-based global head of commodities sales. He fills a role vacated by James Nuttall, who left the bank in December 2013.

Before joining Citi, Sananes worked in London for EDF Trading, the trading arm of French utility EDF, where he was served as head of Central and Eastern Europe, southern Europe and flow
