Barclays announces departure of senior staff

Barclays' finance director Chris Lucas and general counsel Mark Harding are to leave the company.

The bank announced both Lucas and Harding have agreed to remain in their roles until successors have been appointed, which it expects to take a considerable amount of time.

The departures come as Barclays has been hit by a number of scandals, including its recent involvement in mis-selling interest
