SG's head of cross-asset private banking sales exits

Departure of Janice Yu from the French bank is latest example of consolidation in the Asian derivatives sector

Janice Yu, head of cross-asset private banking sales for Asia at Société Générale, has left the bank. Market sources told Asia Risk that Yu had been let go by SG on Wednesday. A bank spokesperson declined to comment on her departure.

Yu, who was based in Hong Kong, was hired in June 2009 in a newly created role as part of SG's strategic decision to focus on the sale of structured products to private banks. She reported to Yann Garnier, head of global market sales for Asia-Pacific. Yu was hired
