Michael Cosgrove is set to leave GFI Group, where he is currently managing director – strategic initiatives in commodities and energy, at the end of this month.

Cosgrove is a well-known and highly regarded member of the commodity trading industry, having spent over 30 years within the world of energy and commodities brokering. He began his career in 1981 as a crude oil broker at Amerex, a US based over-the-counter energy broker, and five years later became a partner in the firm and managing
