OCBC subsidiary splits risk and compliance roles

Bank of Singapore, the private banking arm of OCBC Bank, has appointed Lee Han Chwee as global head of compliance, a newly created post, in response to the increasing workload related to regulatory change. Chief risk officer Leander Jansen will stay in post and will retain responsibility for credit, market and operational risk management, with Chwee in charge of meeting "the increasingly demanding regulatory requirements of the private banking business", the bank says.
