NIBC appoints new chief risk officer

Netherlands merchant bank NIBC has appointed Petra van Hoeken as chief risk officer and member of the managing board from January 1, 2012, subject to approval of the Dutch central bank.

Van Hoeken will replace Jan Sijbrand, who became executive director of the governing board of the Dutch central bank in July. She will have responsibility for all the bank's risk management activities, including market, credit and operational risk.
