Anshu Jain made co-chief executive at Deutsche Bank

Josef Ackermann to be replaced in 2012 by Deutsche's investment banking head and Risk lifetime achievement award winner

Deutsche Bank has announced the promotion of Anshu Jain from his current role as head of corporate and investment banking to co-chief executive, effective from after the bank's annual general meeting in May 2012. Jain joined Deutsche from Merrill Lynch in 1995, and pioneered its growth as a major investment banking player and derivatives house. He has been a member of the group executive board since 2002, and joined Deutsche's management board in 2009.

Jain will share the role of chief executive
