LGIM names new head of global rates

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Nick Griffiths as its new head of global rates. Griffiths will join the firm in September and will report to head of fixed income Roger Bartley.

Griffiths is currently the co-head of interest rates and co-head of global portfolios at Aberdeen Asset Management. Before joining Aberdeen Asset Management in 2009, he worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for 11 years, and held the position of co-head of government and agency alpha team.
