Nomura names fixed income research head

Des Supple, previously Nomura’s head of rates strategy in Asia excluding Japan, will be moving to the London office in July to be the new head of fixed income research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Before joining Nomura in May 2009, Supple was a co-founder of LDFM Asia, a hedge fund focused on foreign exchange, rates and macro strategies. He also spent 10 years with Barclays in Singapore in a number of roles, including head of Asian research, chief economist for China and Japan, and
