Schroders names fixed income head for Asia

Rajeev de Mello, formerly Singapore head at Western Asset Management, is to join Schroders as head of Asian fixed income.
He starts his role on July 1 and will be based in Singapore.
De Mello will head up the asset manager’s fixed income investment teams for Asia ex-Australia, across six regional centres.
He replaces How Phuang-Goh, who retires in September after 17 years at Schroders.
Prior to Western AM, de Mello was head of Asian fixed income at Pictet Asset Management.
