BoAML hires Peter Fung as head of Asia equity derivatives trading

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired Peter Fung from Deutsche Bank as head of corporate equity and fund derivatives trading for the region as it seeks to broaden the bank's equity derivative franchise with corporate and institutional clients.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) has appointed Peter Fung as a managing director and head of Asia-Pacific corporate equity and fund derivatives trading, a newly created position.

In his new role, Fung will work closely with Hong Kong-based Dickson Cheung, who recently joined the US bank as head of Asia corporate equity solutions, and other staff to expand the bank's presence in corporate equity derivatives, fund derivatives and variable annuity product services, according to an internal memo
