HSBC hires new trading heads for high yield and loans

Wendler and Yelverton join as trading heads for high yield and loans, respectively

HSBC has named market veteran Bradley Wendler as head of high yield trading for North America. Based in New York, Wendler will lead HSBC’s primary and secondary high yield trading business in the region, and reports to Kent Kurtz, head of credit trading.

Wendler was formerly a managing director at Cohen & Co. In a 25-plus year career, he has also held senior high yield trading roles at Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers.

The bank has also hired Catherine Yelverton as its global
