Isda AGM: Morgan Stanley's O'Connor takes chairman's role

Stephen O'Connor has been elected as the new chairman of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association by its board of directors. The appointment was announced this morning at Isda's annual general meeting in Prague.

O'Connor has been a member of the Isda board since 2008, and is currently a managing director and global head of over-the-counter clearing at Morgan Stanley.

He succeeds Eraj Shirvani, managing director and head of fixed income for the European, Middle East and African Region
