RBS appoints Sherry Liu as China CEO

RBS names Sherry Liu as China chairman and chief executive officer, in a bid to bolster its business in the country.

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Sherry Liu as chairman and chief executive officer of RBS China, a newly created position.

Liu will be responsible for overseeing and driving the bank's overall business strategy in China across banking, markets, wealth and various joint venture investee companies in the country.

She will report jointly to John McCormick, RBS Asia-Pacific chairman and Matthew Kirkby, regional head of global banking, both based in Hong Kong. She will also join the global
