Three new directors for US accounting overseer

PCAOB names a new chairman and two other new directors

The US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) has named James Doty as its new chairman, and Jay Hanson and Lewis Ferguson as directors, bringing the board up to full strength for the first time in more than a year.

Doty is currently a partner specialising in securities law at Washington-based law firm Baker Botts. He will succeed the acting chairman, director Dan Goelzer, who has filled the post since the resignation of Mark Olson in June 2009. Olson's departure left the five-seat
