Citi names Treadwell to lead derivatives clearing in Asia

Citi prime finance Asia Pacific is building up a derivatives clearing team in response to moves by regulators to improve supervision of OTC clearing services

Citi has hired Thomas Treadwell to build up its prime finance derivatives clearing team in the Asia-Pacific region, a newly created role.

Treadwell will relocate from Singapore to Hong Kong and will report to Hannah Goodwin, who runs Citi's prime finance team in the region and is also based in Hong Kong.

Before joining Citi, Treadwell was most recently head of prime services operations at Barclays Capital in Singapore, covering cash, financing and synthetic products. Prior to that, Treadwell
