Barclays Capital hires Asia banking chief

Sandeep Pahwa to be head of Southeast Asia investment banking.

Barclays Capital has named Sandeep Pahwa as its new head of Southeast Asia investment banking.

He is based in Singapore and reports to Matthew Ginsburg, head of investment banking for Asia-Pacific. Pahwa joined Barclays from Deutsche Bank, where he was head of global banking for Southeast Asia.

Prior to that, he was in London and New York as global head of media and entertainment, having joined after eight years at JP Morgan Chase.
