MF Global appoints Mike Blomfield as Asia-Pacific head

The commodities broker MF Global has appointed Mike Blomfield as managing director of its Asia-Pacific business. Based in Singapore, he begins on November 15.

Blomfield was most recently chief executive of Dendiri Advisory, providing buy-side mergers and acquisitions advice to financial services firms predominantly in China and Indonesia.

He has also previously been head of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's CommSec retail brokerage, and head of its equities division.
