CBI's Grant Jackson takes over as general manager of treasury

Gulf Bank, Kuwait's second-largest bank, has appointed Grant Jackson as general manager of treasury. He joins from Commercial Bank International in Dubai, where he was head of treasury and investments from November 2008. He will report to the bank's chief executive, Michel Accad. The bank appointed Saleem Sheikh as chief risk officer in December 2009.

The bank took severe losses in late 2008 from derivatives transactions, and was subsequently bailed out by the emirate's sovereign wealth fund
