Ramsay named as SEC trading and markets deputy

US Securities and Exchange Commission appoints replacement for Gallagher

The Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed John Ramsay as deputy director in the division of trading and markets in Washington, DC. He replaces Daniel Gallagher, who has left to join Washington, DC law firm Wilmer Hale as a partner, and will report to Robert Cook, director of the division of trading and markets.

Ramsay, who was appointed on August 30, will work with the division's other deputy director, James Brigagliano. Ramsay was previously a senior consultant at Regulatory
