Deutsche’s Loh to run Asia CIB, including Japan and Australia

In Asia, Deutsche Bank's corporate and investment bank revenues account for more than 90% of total revenues, at €2.96 billion in 2009.

Deutsche Bank has promoted Loh Boon Chye as head of corporate and investment banking (CIB) for Asia-Pacific. In his new role, he will oversee corporate finance and transaction banking in addition to global markets business for Asia. Tokyo-based Marzio Keiling, global markets head for Japan, and Sydney-based Michael Ormaechea, head of global markets for Australia and New Zealand, will also now report to Loh.

The combined CIB unit in Asia employs 5,400 staff. Loh will report to Anshu Jain, who
