
Calpers hires new investment officer
Public pension fund California Public Employees' Retirement System (Calpers) has appointed Janine Guillot to be its chief operating investment officer. Based in Sacramento, Guillot will report to chief investment officer Joseph Dear.
Guillot joins the pension fund from Barclays Global Investors - acquired by BlackRock in December 2009 - where she was the chief operating officer for the investment management firm's fixed-income business. Guillot will replace Ken Marzion, who is retiring after 35
