WASHINGTON, DC – Ben Bernanke was sworn in for his second term as chairman of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System on February 3. Bernanke began his second term on February 1 after confirmation by the US Senate on January 28 and a December 3 hearing of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
