“I have probably chosen the least efficient path to success possible,” declares John D’Agostino, chief operating officer of a New York-based energy hedge fund and former Nymex whizz kid. “Every time I arrived at a crossroads, I would look at the two decisions A and B, where A was a safe path that could lead to a lot of money, but find myself drawn to path B, which just seemed more satisfying and, if the world ended suddenly, would leave me with some really interesting stories to tell.”
