HSBC has appointed Liu Che Ning as head of global banking, Hong Kong and China. Based in Hong Kong and reporting to Frank Slevin, head of global banking Asia Pacific, for HSBC global banking and markets, Liu has responsibility for building and extending client coverage and advisory in Hong Kong and mainland China. He will be focusing on the overall relationship management of major corporate and financial institution clients. 

Prior to this appointment, Liu was head of Hong Kong investment
