Palmer eases transition for new Legal & General CFO

Nigel Wilson replaced Andrew Palmer as chief financial officer (CFO) of UK insurance group Legal & General on September 1. Palmer, who has been at the group since 1988, retired from the board with immediate effect, but is continuing on at the company to ensure a smooth transition. Wilson joins Legal & General from publishing house United Business Media, where he was CFO. He has previously held positions at Northern Irish energy group Viridian
