Old Mutual names new chairman

South African insurance group Old Mutual has named Patrick O'Sullivan to succeed Chris Collins as chairman when Collins retires at the end of the year.

O'Sullivan recently retired as vice chairman of Zurich Financial Services, with specific responsibility for Zurich's international businesses including South Africa. Between 2002 and 2007, he was the company's group finance director and prior to that, chief executive of Eagle Star Insurance Company from 1998 to 2002.
